Elaine McGrath is a partner and the head of our commercial department. Elaine advises on all aspects of corporate and commercial law in particular mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, partnership and shareholders agreements.
While Elaine advises across all wide range of sectors, she has particular expertise in advising professional services, healthcare and hospitality sectors on internal structuring, business succession planning and mergers & acquisitions.
Elaine joined the firm in 2004 and became a partner in 2013. Elaine is a registered Trademark Attorney and regularly presents seminars and lectures to students sitting the Law Society Professional Qualification courses on various topics.
Some of Elaine’s recent work highlights include:
- Acting in the sale of multiple veterinary practices including Riverview Veterinary Group on its sale to Vet Partners;
- Advising Bright Motor Group on the acquisition of the retail business of Gowan Motors;
- Advising a number of accountancy practices in relation to mergers including PKF O’Connor Leddy & Holmes Limited accountancy and tax advisory firm on its recent sale to Azets;
- Advising a number of solicitors practices in relation to their partnership agreements and succession planning; and
- Advising Digital Rehabilitation Limited in relation to a seed funding round of circa €2million;
- Advising GAA in relation to its contractual arrangements with NFL for the staging of an NFL game at Croke Park.
