RBK Chartered Accountants are delighted to launch a series monthly of in-person / hybrid events which will be held in the UCD University Club in Dublin and on-line.

Over the course of the series, they will be discussing a variety of topical issues that are relevant to our clients.  They will be bringing in other leading professional services firms and industry specialists to our clients with industry and sector specific knowledge.

The first event took place on Thursday 31 March,  where we looked at what is happening in the Commercial Property market.  We also looked at current trends in the market as well as the legal and tax implications of commercial property transactions, including lease surrenders, variations and potential pitfalls.

RBK together with James Nugent, Senior Director, Investments and Offices at Lisney provided an industry overview of what they are seeing in the market, Roisin Bennett, Head of Property at Reddy Charlton LLP provided insight into topical legal considerations in relation to commercial lettings, including the impact of recent caselaw.  RBK’s Sinead McMahon addressed a number of tax implications of lease variations and some common traps and pitfalls.
